It’s a funny thing about porn, particularly fetish porn, but it can be seen across all types, that it tends to emphasize the extreme in a way that’s usually far from necessary. This is hardly news, but it is worth keeping in mind with almost all porn. While it still applies to each of the sites within Kink.com certainly, it’s far less strong than expected here, because this network has a mission that extends beyond simply producing porn in it’s niches and making some profit. In point of fact, that mission is to “demystify and celebrate alternative sexualities by providing the most ethical and authentic kinky adult entertainment.” It’s a high bar that they set for themselves before I even get to writing anything, you see. I want to emphasize that none of the productions here are anything but sex-positive, and they apparently treat their performers not just well, but equally, while pushing them to their limits during the scenes themselves. This is confirmed in excellent BTS content as well. I would also like to note that this isn’t amateur stuff, on more than the usual level – it’s genuine interest in, and appreciation for, BDSM as it’s normally practiced that seems to me to be an important part of the prerequisites to get in front of the camera here.
