Virtual Real Amateur review

Main niches: VR
There are many options if you’re looking for a newly-discovered amateur VR site in order to fill your headset with content that makes you feel like you’re really part of the action. This time around, we’re looking at another one; this one from the professionals behind Virtual Real. That’s right, this time around I’m examining Virtual Real Amateur for you! With this one, no matter which video you select you can be guaranteed to feel transported into the scene when you strap on that headset; but let’s talk about exactly what videos you are actually getting.
No Updates in Over a Year, Under 50 Videos
As of the time of writing for this review, unfortunately, the Virtual Real Amateur collection has stood pretty much static for over a year now. The last time the collection was updated, as far as I can tell, was in March of 2023, to be overly specific. There’s no reason to expect that new content will be arriving any time soon, which leaves Virtual Real Amateur with a collection of just 37+ individual videos. These last an average of 25 full minutes each, and for download and streaming alike they’re available in up to 5K, which is great for most of the major headsets on the market. You can also expect 180-degree views, as well as 60 frames per second. That’s pretty much perfection on those details, at least in my view.
No Bonuses, Good Headset Compatibility
Unfortunately, I do have to report that you don’t get any bonuses with your membership. On the other hand, though, the videos themselves are compatible with a wide variety of the major headsets on the market. I noted that PSVR, Oculusur, HTC, Samsung, and more should all work just fine. Something a little bit odd is that there’s no membership to speak of here. Instead, you’ll have to buy individual videos that you’re interested in for about $2.99 USD each. It’s certainly an interesting option, but not one I see often, and I’d prefer to see more choices implemented. That said though, at least you keep access to whatever you do buy into with a single purchase.
