I know that many of you, dear readers, do happen to find behind the scenes content a precious thing, with many valuable insights from the media you love – I certainly feel this too – whether that media is a TV show, a movie, or even porn. As usual on this site, we’re looking at that last category, but this time it’s great behind the scenes content for the various sites on Unlimited Access Pass, and this one is called – a little on the nose – Behind The Porn. It’s a great concept, I think, and I also think it’s time for us to dive into the library details and figure out just how healthy this offering is these days.
No Updates, Small Library, 720p Resolutions
As of the time of writing for this review, unfortunately, there have been no updates to this site’s collection for quite some time, and I have no indications to believe that they’ll be returning any time soon. That leaves us with a collection of 69 individual videos, alongside 8 galleries – usually I’d add a plus, but for now, at least, like I said it seems the library is going to stay static. The videos themselves are quite short, and a bit low-resolution as well – expect an average run-time of only 10 minutes and resolutions that max out at 720p, two full steps behind the modern standard.
Full Network Access, Solid Features creating Good Usability
Thankfully, the network does quite a bit to rescue Behind The Porn from it’s current situation. Not only will you browse it all on a fairly well-implemented site design, with pretty solid features, but you’ll have a lot more to browse than just this site’s library. Behind The Porn is absolutely carried by the network behind it – a site library of less than seventy videos, but full access to thousands of videos across more than 20 sites. You can certainly see the relative weakness, and I’d love to see more attention paid to Behind The Porn. It’s a hot niche, after all. Even so, though, that full access is pretty high-value in and itself, and the network has implemented a feature set that ensures that it’s easy to browse around through the entire network library and find whatever you’re looking for. This is why I think this site ends up earning a final score of 65 full points.
