POV Hotel review
POV Hotel comes from the Ghetto Doorway network – this one is all about hotel fun, with mostly POV-style filming, in reality hookup scenes. Here you’ll find the same surprising production value, and the same ebony focus, that you’ll find at the larger network of Ghetto Doorway – among many other things that POV Hotel has inherited from that larger network. Let’s get into some of the details here, and take a closer look at the site library as a whole next, because sadly, not all is perfect here.
30+ Videos, 28+ Galleries, No Updates, 1080p Downloads
As of the time of writing for this review, POV Hotel offers a library of 30+ videos alongside 28+ galleries. Unfortunately, the collection seems not to have updated in quite some time – there is no update schedule, and we can’t say when, or even if, any update schedule may happen to be returning. The streaming player is also rather lacking, as it maxes out at 720p resolution currently – the files may however be downloaded for Full HD instead, which is a step closer to modern resolutions. The galleries include an average of 160 shots each, which is nice, but they’re also rather low-resolution shots unfortunately. There’s also no indication yet of the network as a whole upgrading to higher resolution videos, or photos, at least as of the time of writing. Do keep the 20GB daily download limit in mind, too.
Solid Features, Mobile-Responsive Site, Great Network Access
At POV Hotel, you’ll find a surprisingly solid list of features. These include favorites, ratings, and some sorting tools, but surprisingly, you’ll also find an excellent advanced search, a rare feature in a site or network in the size scale you’ll find here. You also get full access to the rest of Ghetto Doorway, which you’ll browse on a properly mobile-responsive site, too. MY OPINION
Ultimately, POV Hotel has too small of a library to do well with the rather disappointing lack of an update schedule here. The features, bonuses, site design, are all excellent, but the lack of resolution updates to both photos and videos also hurt POV Hotel rather more than you might expect. As a result, POV Hotel’s offer does suffer rather significantly – there’s no getting around that simple fact. I’m therefore awarding POV Hotel with a score of 67.8 points, alongside my recommendation to those fans of the niche who very much want to add a few more scenes to their focused collection.
