X Empire review

A lot of networks today have the same problem – they’ve expanded to too many sites too fast, and as a result their identity, thematic and functional (as well as potentially their quality control, update schedules, and production qualities) has suffered. Sometimes the ill effects suffered are minor, but sometimes they take an otherwise great network and really show us how it can suffer. However, that’s not the only path by a long margin, and some networks are still doing things in other ways. XEmpire is one such example – a network with only five sites, with laser sharp focus, and with a clear identity throughout. They’re well worth your consideration for your subscription list, and I’m going to lay out precisely why in this review.

Focus, Quality, and Features!

The library on offer here is quite impressive for it’s small size. Over eighteen hundred and fifty videos, each in full HD, and with downloads available for each and every one of them, is good alone. Add to that over twenty yhree hundred photo sets, that have two hundred high resolution photos each, and you might begin to see why I so enjoyed my time with the site. The videos and the photos are both very professionally produced, from the shooting to the editing and everything in between. Oh, and all the content is properly and fully exclusive.

I mentioned above that there are five sites. These are Dark X, Erotica X, Hard X, Lesbian X and All Black X. They’re all well named for their niches: interracial, glamcore erotica, simple hardcore, lesbian and ebony content respectively. That’s enough variety for most of us, I think, and it hits all the major notes without having to have even a full five sites. Further, each niche is fully developed and fleshed out, and each site represents some of the best work available in it’s given niche across the entire Internet.

There’s more than that to like, of course. The update schedule is great, with an average of twenty plus new videos in a given month – meaning that almost every day, there’s a new video. That’s impressive, too. Add to that an excellent set of user tools including search, tags, sorting, model index, favorites, and even the unexpected – but appreciated – commenting system, and the site becomes a joy to use, allowing you to get to the content quickly and easily. Even more unexpected, there’s a preview feature for the new scenes coming down the pipe – something we see very rarely, but shows a commitment to the update schedule that I can wholly approve of.

For a network with less than a thousand videos, that’s a massive list of positives. Of course, with every porn site, there’s always going to be at least one drawback, and so it’s time to look at those now.

Trial, Search, Pre-selection – Where’s the Major Problem?

One thing that really threw me for a while as I evaluated XEmpire was that I couldn’t actually find any major flaws whatsoever. That’s a very unusual thing for me to be able to say – usually these reviews list out one or two major issues and then explain why they don’t matter so much in context of all the good that the site is doing. So what is wrong here?

So what is wrong here? Well, there’s no advanced search. The site doesn’t need it – yet – but it’s still a feature that I’d like to see, especially on such an otherwise well-featured network. There’s also a limited trial, and a pre-checked cross-sale. Skip the first entirely, and make sure to deselect the other.
